Steve Panning, Co-owner & Senior Video Editor, Chicago HD Corp.

Our non-linear HD editing suites are operated by Chicago HD partner Steve Panning. Steve is Chicago HD's senior creative editor and HD finish expert, guiding clients through a solid editorial workflow from production through presentation. Steve has a BS in Television Production and has refined his craft for over 25 years, with almost 20 years of professional experience. He has worked as a linear and non-linear Avid and FCP editor with broadcast, corporate and independent production professionals.

Steve began developing his sensibilities as an editor after moving to Chicago in 1989, first working in production and then taking a job as an online cutter in Houston, TX. Steve moved back to Chicago to edit in 1993, adapting his skills with a technology that's constantly changing. In addition to working with broadcast, motion picture and corporate professionals, Steve has contributed to the Chicago independent filmmaking scene and continues to work with aspiring filmmakers today. Steve has worked on over a thousand HD jobs since co-founding Chicago HD in 2002. He is available for hire as an HD post production consultant.
