Chicago HD's facilities are owned, operated and maintained by experienced editors and engineers who work hard to keep us on the "bleeding edge" of technology. Our systems are up-to-date and fast, allowing you to spend more time on what's important, the creative aspects of your project.

Producers, editors and clients will find that our state-of-the-art, non-linear HD and SD video editing suites are well-equipped and comfortable. Editorial rooms are HD and SD capable and support nearly every professional compressed and uncompressed HD, SD and DV format available, including 2K. Conforming is a breeze because we are able to import and translate projects from Avid, FCP and other editing platforms. Our equipment rack is loaded with Sony and Panasonic HD and SD VTRs that enable us to handle practically every popular tape-based acquisition and mastering format, meeting today's broadcast standards for HD and SD distribution. Two editorial workstations are built around fast Apple computers running the latest Final Cut Pro software with AJA Kona and ADTX hardware. Media storage is networked with a fully redundant fiber optic RAID and the video systems are configured to take advantage of a 100% digital signal path. Chicago HD has made a substantial investment in HD monitoring so that producers and editors are able to evaluate their images on broadcast quality, digital HD monitors appropriate for critical viewing and color evaluation.

To meet today's audio requirements, 5.1 surround sound audio post-production and monitoring is available in our collaborative studio space with the audio experts at BAM Studio.

Our facility's creature comforts include a large reception area and full-size kitchen. Select from a variety of XBOX games to play on our high def plasma screen to pass time during renders.
